Y-Type Valve
Y-pattern globe and strainer valves offering low-turbulence flow and easy maintenance.
Y-Type Valve
The Y-type body pattern positions the stem and internals at an angle to the main flow path, reducing turbulence and pressure drop compared to a conventional globe valve while still allowing top-entry access for maintenance without removing the body from the line.
We offer both Y-type globe (stop) valves for regulating/isolating duty and Y-strainers for upstream debris protection, widely specified on high-velocity steam, gas and liquid lines where low pressure loss and self-draining installation are required.
Engineered For Reliable Performance
- Angled stem design reduces flow turbulence and pressure drop
- Streamlined self-draining body pattern
- Top-entry construction for in-line maintenance
- Renewable seat and disc / removable strainer screen
- Suitable for high-velocity steam and gas service
- Available in globe (regulating) and strainer configurations
